Owning an Original Oil Painting

My paintings are made by applying multiple layers of oil colour, first "modelling" a monochrome underpainting then glazing many layers of pure pigment. This technique results in the vibrancy and subtleties of colour as well as the smooth gradations of light and dark.

Art Materials

The oil paints I use are predominantly Old Holland providing the best pigment saturation available.

The painting substrates I have used in the past have been quality panels and Belgian linen. Currently, I am using an ultra-smooth polyester canvas. The ultra-smooth canvas provides a perfect surface for fine detail and smooth glazes.
